    Deb Cloutier

    President

    ABOUT
    President & Founder
    Deb has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate, energy efficiency, sustainability, marketing, and education arenas. She provides strategy and guidance to clients, employing market-based strategies to enhance financial and environmental performance. Deb was integral in the design and implementation of EPA’S ENERGY STAR program and has been an active consultant since the program’s inception as Green Lights in the early 1990s.  

    Deb has expanded her role to also become the Chief Sustainability Officer of Legence. She continues to lead RE Tech Advisors and guides the sustainability efforts among the legion of Legence companies – representing over $1.2 billion in annual revenue and over 4,000 employees – to inspire and lead our craftspeople and clients to integrate sustainability as a standard business practice.

    Tema Goodspeed

    Senior Director

    Senior Director
    Tema has been with RE Tech for over a decade and now serves as Head of ESG Programs. In that role, she leads a seasoned team of professionals who advise clients on improving the performance of buildings and real estate portfolios. Her responsibilities include strategically advising clients on the development, implementation, and reporting of their ESG programs. Since 2011, Tema has managed over 400 GRESB – the global ESG benchmark for real assets – submissions on behalf of the firm’s global roster of clients. In 2019, she spearheaded a partnership with GRESB to pilot a new ESG Data Quality Standard and Quality metric designed to ensure the quality and accuracy of sustainability data in commercial real estate assets.  

     Tema holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.

    Mital Hall

    Mital Hall, Senior Director

    RE Tech is pleased to welcome Mital Hall to the firm as our newest Senior Director, Sustainability Programs. An award-winning sustainability professional, Mital comes to us with over 20 years of experience leading programs focused on climate risk, green building certifications, ESG reporting, and sustainability and decarbonization strategies. She has notable expertise driving strategic agendas cross functionally to achieve a broader vision of economic, environmental, and social program imperatives. Mital’s strategic organizational change management and design think expertise, lends itself to successfully launch and implement large scale sustainability programs within investor, governmental, aviation, private and university sectors. She has worked on well over 50 projects, impacted 1OOM+ SF of space. Among Mital’s accomplishments includes receiving Congressional recognition from Congressman Darren Soto as a Distinguished Leader in Central Florida, being a delegate to China and India for Smart Cities programs, and a delegate to the United Nations.

    Chang Liu

    Senior Director

    Chang Liu, Senior Director
    Chang is a Senior Director of the Climate and Energy team and has over ten years of consulting experience focused on ESG for Commercial Real Estate. In his current role, he focuses on developing innovative tools, processes, platforms, and programs to help decarbonize the built environment as well as identify, evaluate, and mitigate physical and transition risks due to climate change. Chang has also developed new methodologies to calculate emissions reductions for diversified portfolios and has created asset-level decarbonization processes. He has benchmarked and analyzed property-level key performance indicators for over 3,000 commercial buildings worldwide.

    Meg Mall

    Senior Director

    Meg Mall, Senior Director
    Meg leads RE Tech’s public sector engagement, including Climate Partnership Programs and MUSH markets. Her client portfolio includes the Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Program, the Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR for Commercial Buildings Program, national and regional associations, and state and local governments. In this role, she drives market transformation in the built environment through some of the most reputable public-private partnership programs, in addition to advising public sector clients on the planning and implementation of their own decarbonization strategies.

    Meg has over 20 years of experience as a consultant and nonprofit executive addressing climate change, workforce development, and decarbonization of the built environment through program management, community engagement, and policy at the global, federal, state and local levels. Prior to RE Tech, Meg was the Executive Director of Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions and the Director of Global Development for Goodwill Industries International. Throughout her career Meg has driven impact through partnerships, achieving growth and scale within the organizations she has advised. Meg holds a Master’s in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University and degrees in International Business and Spanish from Valparaiso University.

    Andrea Pinabell

    Vice President of Growth & Innovation

    Andrea Pinabell, Vice President of Growth & Innovation

    Andrea joins RE Tech with nearly 30 years of experience in the private, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors all focused on sustainability and the environment. Prior to joining RE Tech, Andrea headed an independent consulting firm where she advised businesses, academia, and private equity on implementing and integrating holistic and sustainable purpose-driven strategies, partnerships, and programs to drive organization growth, reduce risk and improve impact. She has held executive leadership roles focused on strategy, operations, and innovation with a focus on sustainability and philanthropy in hospitality, real estate, and retail industries, among others.

    Andrea sits on several nonprofit boards including 2030 Districts, Center for Responsible Travel, the Strategic Energy Institute, and the Center of Sustainable Business at Georgia Tech University, where she also recently served as a Distinguished Executive Fellow. In her role at RE Tech, Andrea will focus on RE Tech’s strategic growth which includes strategic partnerships, innovation, new products, and services, as well as M&A.

    Andrea earned her BS ChE in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and has a Business Sustainable Management Certificate from the University of Cambridge. She will be based in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area.

    Erin Richmond

    Executive Vice President
    Erin has over 20 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting energy efficiency programs in commercial buildings both on the public and private side. Previously, she served as subject matter expert for the DOE Better Buildings Program for both the healthcare and hospitality sectors. As EVP within RE Tech, she is responsible for the oversight and support of day-to-day operations including administration, finance, and HR.

    Shila Wattamwar

    Shila Wattamwar, Vice President of Shared Services

    Shila brings over 15 years of professional expertise to RE Tech, specializing in organizational management. Prior to her tenure with RE Tech, she held a prominent role on the Executive & Leadership team at Sustainalytics, contributing significantly to the company’s growth. As a pivotal member of the team, she played a crucial role in guiding Sustainalytics through a successful acquisition by Morningstar, where she assumed the position of Head of Organizational Integration.

    Following her tenure with Morningstar, Shila established Radiant Global Advisory, an advisory practice dedicated to assisting organizations in achieving growth and sustainability. In her philanthropic endeavors, Shila serves on the board of Chefs for Impact, a non-profit focused on food sustainability. She is also the founder of SustainableMe!, a platform designed to bring sustainability education in the context of daily life. Additionally, Shila contributes to Fast Company’s Impact Council, sharing her insights on sustainability through various articles.

    Shila holds an MBA from DePaul University, with a concentration on Financial Analysis and Strategic Valuation, along with a Masters in Physiology from Finch University, and a BS in Biology & Health Management from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

    Katie Zilka, Vice President of Sustainability Programs

    Katie has over a decade of experience in consulting with a focus on sustainability and decarbonization. She has used her experience to engage various stakeholders to identify their eco-system targets and lead them toward implementation of carbon-reduction initiatives. From an operations perspective, Katie can engage leaders across organizations to help build an impactful culture of collaboration across multiple business units.
